Congratulations to Dancing with the Stars Helio Castroneves and girlfriend Adriana on the birth of their daughter Mikaella earlier this week! Helio tweeted the news and just recently added a photo!

Safety Recall: Infant Car Seats

In addition to the Roman Blinds we told you about last week, there’s also been a recall of infant car seats carrier due to fall injuries.  When used as a carrier, the car seat handle can fall off causing injury to the child.  For a full list of models affected, see the full press release from the CPSC.

 

Michelle Duggar delivers 19th child, Josie, prematurely

Josie Brooklyn was delivered prematurely this week via an emergency c-section, after mom Michelle was diagnosed with preeclampsia.  Preeclampsia is a condition which occurs in 5 to 8 percent of pregnancies, and is related to high blood pressure.

Born at just 1 lb 6 oz, Josie is in stable condition and Michelle is recovering from surgery.  We hope that Josie & Michelle are both able to head home to their family soon.

 

Gisele and Tom Brady welcome a baby boy!

Congratulations to Gisele and Tom, who welcomed a baby boy earlier this week, as announced by Tom in a press conference on Wednesday.  As of the time of the press conference, the baby did not yet have a name.

Interestingly, Tom knew the sex of the baby before Gisele.  She chose not to find out, and Tom wanted to know, so he kept it a secret!

 

Humming a tune?

Once you’re through the first trimester morning sickness and feeling proud of your baby bump and glowing during your second trimester – you may feel like singing a little ditty to go along with your mood.

Turns out that singing during pregnancy is actually more difficult, but not for the reasons most people initially thought.  A study monitoring professional singers found that its not decreased lung capacity, but those pesky hormone fluctuations that actually make singing more difficult.

Larger studies are needed, but in the meantime, maybe just just add a little dancing to that singing to round it out.

Real Housewives star, really pregnant

Congratulations to Bethenny Frankel and fiancee Jason Hoppy, on the news that they are expecting their first child!  While Bethenny was forced to confirm her pregnancy earlier than she would have liked by the press, the reality show star tweeted confirmed the pregnancy was a reality earlier this week.

Frankel is one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York, and will be starring in her own show on Bravo.  The Natural Food Chef also has a best-selling book, Naturally Thin. That’s one busy mama-to-be!

 

Heidi Klum welcomes a baby girl!

Project Runway host and Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Klum welcomed her fourth child, third with husband Seal. Lou Sulola Samuel was born late last week. Klum took on Seal’s last name, Samuel, a week before giving birth. Lou joins sister Leni, 5, and brothers Henry, 4, and Johan, 3.

Welcome Stella Luna!

There’s something in the air bringing us lots of baby girls this fall – not only did we congratulate Sarah Michelle Gellar on the birth of her baby girl Charlotte last week, Grey’s Anatomy co-stars Katherine Heigl and Ellen Pompeo, both have girls in their families now too!  Heigl and her husband adopted Nayleigh from Korea, while Ellen and husband Chris Ivery welcomed Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery on September 15th.  Perhaps there’s a playgroup planned for the Grey’s Anatomy set, whose producers have been rumored to be very supportive of the new moms, and giving them as much time as they need to bond with their new daughters – keeping us big fans of the show!
