Congratulations to Bethenny Frankel and fiancee Jason Hoppy, on the news that they are expecting their first child!  While Bethenny was forced to confirm her pregnancy earlier than she would have liked by the press, the reality show star tweeted confirmed the pregnancy was a reality earlier this week.

Frankel is one of the stars of The Real Housewives of New York, and will be starring in her own show on Bravo.  The Natural Food Chef also has a best-selling book, Naturally Thin. That’s one busy mama-to-be!

Project Runway host and Victoria’s Secret model Heidi Klum welcomed her fourth child, third with husband Seal. Lou Sulola Samuel was born late last week. Klum took on Seal’s last name, Samuel, a week before giving birth. Lou joins sister Leni, 5, and brothers Henry, 4, and Johan, 3.

October is breast cancer awareness month, and while there is such a thing as too much pink, that doesn’t apply in this case! We’re thrilled to see so many corporations and individuals taking part in increasing awareness and early detection of breast cancer. You can tell it’s taken hold, because you can now buy everything from a pink Wusthof knife to a wig donation for a woman with cancer.

Even the men in my husband’s office are wearing pink shirts on Monday to honor friends, wives & mothers living with breast cancer everywhere.

You can support awareness too, and there are countless ways to participate – something for everyone.

There’s a new voluntary recall from McNeil Consumer Healthcare (the maker of Tylenol) for certain lots of Children’s and Infants’ Tylenol manufactured between April and June 2008.  The recall is due to an unused portion of one ingredient not meeting quality standards.

Parents and caregivers who have questions or concerns should contact their child’s health care provider or our consumer call center at 1-800-962-5357 (available Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern Time). Consumers can find the lot numbers on the bottom of the box containing the liquid product and also on the sticker that surrounds the product bottle. The lot numbers of the affected products are listed below.

These actions do not apply to Children’s TYLENOL® Meltaways and Junior Strength TYLENOL® Meltaways. The voluntary recall applies only to select lots of Children’s and Infants’ TYLENOL® liquid products.

Usmagazine.com reports that Padma Lakshmi, the host of Top Chef, is pregnant with her first child.  This is especially sweet for Lakshmi, because she struggles with endometriosis for many years, which can cause possible infertility. In fact, Lakshmi co-founded the Endometriosis Foundation of America.  The article did not mention the due date or confirm the baby’s father. Congratulations Padma!
